Telande Tea Garden

¡Hola mis gentes!

How’s everyone doing in this not-so-fabulous season of the ‘Rona? I’m going a little stir crazy, but I’m definitely willing to do my part of social distancing by staying off the streets & in my home. But my thoughts go out to everyone who is affected by this situation. I hope we all come out of it healthy & stable.

Ok! So, on to our review!

A few weeks before we went on lockdown, a few friends and I went to Telande Tea Garden in Cantonments. A whimsical, gorgeous spot in the heart of Accra, it’s aesthetic is very “Alice in Wonderland” without the Mad Hatter.

It was a very sunny Sunday & unfortunately, all the spots that had shade & a fan were all taken. Nonetheless, gorgeous.

To drink, I had a Cucumber Coolers and it was one of the most refreshing things I’ve had. Absolutely perfect considering how hot it was that day. But heat aside, the drink was still perfect. Definitely getting it again when we can go back outside.

To eat, I got the Shinkafa Da Naama because you can’t go wrong with rice & stew.

As good as it was, it took close to 2 hours for my food to get to me. I didn’t even think that would be possible with rice. And stew.

All my lunch dates got their food, finished it AND waited some more before my food got to me, it was that bad. There wasn’t enough communication as to why my food took so long, & that irritated me as well. But the food was good.

Now, the price range.

The drinks ranged from GHS 5 – GHS 40 & the food ranged from GHS 15 – GHS 160.

Check it out & let me know what you think.

Thanks for reading guys.
